The basic components of a sewage pumping station include a machine room, a sump, a grille, an auxiliary room, and sometimes a substation. The machine is located within the pump unit and related ancillary equipment; grille and suction pipe installation in the pool, pool can also be uneven regulation of water in a certain extent, so that the pump can be more uniform; grid is solid impurities coarse block water, to prevent blockage and damage the water pump; auxiliary storage room, including general repair shop, lounge and toilets.

All the sewage pumped into the sewage treatment station or treated sewage irrigation or discharged directly into water bodies; according to the set combination pool and machines, drainage pumping station can be divided into the combined pumping station and pumping station construction; according to the control, drainage pumping station can be divided into automatic control for the division of control pumping station and pumping station.



The types of pumps used in sewage pumping stations are horizontal centrifugal sewage pump, vertical centrifugal sewage pump, mixed flow pump, axial pump, submersible pump, screw pump, etc.. When selecting sewage, it is necessary to reduce investment, save power consumption, safe operation and convenient maintenance and management under the condition of satisfying maximum drainage. Where possible, each pump flow the best equivalent to 1/2~1/3 design flow, and uses the same types of pumps as well, so the equipment purchase, equipment and spare parts, installation, maintenance and repair are beneficial. To exclude pumping stations containing alkaline or other corrosive sewage, corrosion resistant pumps should be selected, sludge should be removed and sludge pumps shall be used as much as possible. In order to ensure the normal work of pumping station, spare units and fittings are needed. The flow rate of sewage pumping station increases gradually with the construction of drainage system, so the factor must be considered in the design.
