Centrifugal pump has vertical, horizontal, single-stage, multi-stage, single suction, double suction, self suction and other forms. The main working principles are as follows: centrifugal is the inertia of objects. For example, the water droplets on the umbrella, when the umbrella slowly rotates, the water drops will follow the umbrella to rotate, because the umbrella and the water drop friction as the centripetal force to the water droplets. The basic structure of centrifugal pump is composed of six parts, namely impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearing, seal ring, stuffing box.
1, impeller is the core part of centrifugal pump, its high speed, high output, the impeller blade plays a major role, the impeller before the assembly through static balance experiment. The inner and outer surfaces of the impeller are required to be smooth, so as to reduce the friction loss of the flow.
2, pump body is also called pump shell, it is the main body of the pump. The support is fixed and connected with the bracket for mounting the bearing.
3, the role of the pump shaft is to use the coupling and motor connected, the motor transfer to the impeller, so it is the main part of the transfer of mechanical energy.
4, bearings are installed on the pump shaft supporting the pump shaft components, there are two kinds of rolling bearings and sliding bearings. Rolling bearings use butter as a lubricant, refueling should be appropriate, generally 2/3 ~ 3/4 of the volume will be too much heat, too little and noisy and heat, sliding bearing is transparent oil used as lubricant, refueling to the oil level line.
5, sealing ring is also called leakage reducing ring. The gap between the impeller and the pump shell will cause the pump within the high pressure zone of the water flow through the gap area of low pressure water, affecting the pump efficiency is reduced, the gap is too small will cause the impeller and the pump shell friction and wear.
6, stuffing box is mainly composed of packing, water seal ring, packing cylinder, packing gland, water seal pipe. The main function of stuffing box is to close the gap between the pump shell and the pump shaft, so that the water flow in the pump does not flow outside, and the outside air is not allowed to enter the pump.
